When we doubt or when we are in difficulties, when many voices urge us to one course or another, then it is time to Be Still, hushing each intruder, calming ourselves into the sacred hush of God’s presence.
Let us study His word with the attitude of devout attention. Let us lift ourselves up into the pure light of His face, eager only to know what God the Lord shall determine. Long to seek His secret counsel. Those who have had dealings with God know well the value of secret fellowship with Him to be able to ascertain His will.
Go to God with your questions; get direction from the light of His smile, or the cloud of His refusal.
If you get alone with Him, where the lights and shadows of earth cannot interfere, where human opinions can not reach you and if you will dare to wait there in silent expectation, though all around you there is an insist for immediate decision or action.....if you will Be Still, the will of God will be made clear and you will have new conception of God, a deeper insight into His nature and His heart of love, which shall be for yourself and you alone.

Longing souls are satisfied. They praise God for all that He has planned. God cannot clear the way until thou art still.
