"And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against any one; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. And beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.........COLOSSIANS 3: 12-15

Garden Tid Bits

I love to garden. I always wanted to live on a Farm so I could have a big Vegetable Garden, but that has not happened....so I have had to make the best efforts by seeking the sunny places in the yard. The original garden spot was lovely, but as the trees around our home grew taller, the sun did not shine long enough on the space we had created. Here is the original garden space, which we now use to store our mulch.

Since we can no longer use this garden space, I got creative and Tom and I built these great standing container gardens using a plastic cement mixing bin. We drilled holes in the bottom of the plastic for drainage, filled it with a layer of pea gravel and then the rest got filled up with good potting soil.

My son-in-law Stephen built me this shorter version. This became my pea garden. I added a trellis. We then made a double one that stood a bit higher....great for my bad knees....and this became the garden bed for lettuce, beans, and carrots.

My tomatoes, zuccinni, peppers, and cucumbers got their own space in individual containers.
Now the garden is starting to produce some wonderful vegetables.........
